Integrated Circles install Audio Visual Equipment in Brighton Museum

London based Audio Visual specialists, Integrated Circles have recently completed the installation of a wide-range of audio visual equipment in the newly refurbished Brighton Museum.

The Museum which has already welcomed 30,000 visitors since it re-opened three weeks ago, boasts a series of contemporary exhibitions examining issues that form a part of day-to- day life in Brighton today and highlight aspects of life in the past.

Throughout the various galleries, Integrated Circles have installed solid-state VideoStores for the replay of video material. With no moving parts and integral audio amplification and show control, the VideoStores either loop video continuously or are activated by the public using push buttons. A combination of video monitors and video Projectors replay the extensive video footage, some of which dates back to 1896.

Integrated Circles’ Rugged LCD Touchscreens give the public access to the creatively designed computer interactive programmes and allow them the take an active role in the many exhibits on display.

The Touchscreens are extremely robust and have been designed to withstand the potential hammering they will receive over the life of the exhibition.

Custom designed listening posts throughout the Museum enable visitors to access hundreds of oral histories where individuals from Brighton talk about pertinent issues. Based on Integrated Circles renowned solid-state Digital SoundStore technology, these Listening Stations offer an enormous choice of topics to the visitor at the touch of a button.

“This has been a great project for Integrated Circles to work on” commented Project Manager, Caroline James. “The experience at the new Brighton Museum is both refreshing and original.

“The visitor will appreciate the importance of past history and its impact on contemporary Brighton. As the visitors move from one Gallery to the next, admiring the wonderful exhibits in the showcases, these are bought to life by the discreet inclusion of Audio Visual exhibits, using rugged and durable technologies.”

“There is something for everyone - whether it be the Wartime Experience in the old shelter or the fun and laughter associated with the beach, whether it be the importance of experimental fashion and in particular body fashion or whether it be simply the opportunity to listen to the experiences of young and old,” she added.
