Technical Expertise given Full Rein

Integrated Circles are ‘Flushed with Pride’ after Being Awarded a Project at Gladstone Working Potteries Museum

Audio visual systems specialists Integrated Circles has recently been appointed to install the audio visual equipment in a new exhibition at the award-winning Gladstone Pottery Museum, Stoke on Trent.

Having already installed the AV equipment throughout other parts of the museum, Integrated Circles will be installing a wide range of audiovisuals within the newly expanded sanitary-ware galleries, known as “Flushed With Pride - the story of the toilet”.

This permanent, unique exhibition charts the history of the humble loo and shows how it came to be. An 1840’s backyard slum has been recreated and tells the story of what life was like or ordinary people before sewers, drain and the flushing toilet. Sights, sounds and smell, all make it a sensual experience!

A video presentation set within a sewer will give the visitor a brief look at the important work of sanitary engineers and potters as they struggled to find solutions to a “stinking” problem.

The London-based company has also completed work on two other exciting and diverse projects which demonstrate its ability to bring the past and present to life.

At Althorp, the family ancestral home of the late Diana, Princess of Wales, Integrated Circles installed a range of audio visual equipment in a new section of the award-winning exhibition celebrating the life and work of Diana.

Video screen technology, monitors and sound effects with commentary give the public an insight into how the monies raised the Princess Diana Memorial Fund have been spent.

This new section of the exhibition will show how the Fund has distributed a number of grants to the six charities of which the Princess was Patron or President at the time of her death including the landmine cause, Leonard Cheshire and The Osteopathic Centre for Children.

In the past month Integrated Circles has also completed work on one of Britain’s oldest warship’s afloat, the frigate- - HMS Trincomalee - at the Hartlepool Historic Quay, recently voted one of the top six heritage attractions in the UK by the Which guide.

The latest audio visual technology has been installed within the warship to create a dazzling array of sights and sounds, to re-create the atmosphere of life on board for both the officers and crew of the vessel.

And for those tough enough to brave a sea battle, special sound, lighting and visual effects will enhance the experience of being on board a warship struggling to survive in the face of enemy fire.

“Both projects demonstrate the company’s ability to work with a broad range of professionals to capture the spirit and atmosphere of a particular exhibition or project.
